A high Phosphorus supplement for better bone development and guarding against leg problems in broiler chicken and other farm animals and to improve the growth performance.

Ingredients

Dicalcium Phosphate: 96%

Product Description

  • Phosphorus (P) is one of the essential minerals for all animals. It plays a critical role in cellular metabolism, as a part of the energy currency of the cell, in cellular regulatory mechanisms, and in bone. Bone is the main storage organ for P containing 85% of the body's total P. Through its involvement in these metabolic and structural processes, P is essential for animals to attain their optimum genetic potential in growth and feed efficiency as well as skeletal development. Because of the key role of P in bone development and mineralization, the requirements of the animal for this mineral are highest during the time the animal is growing.
  • To meet the phosphorus needs of poultry, formulations must be supplemented with inorganic phosphorus sources. In diets containing fishmeal and meat and bone meal, supplementation with inorganic sources may not be necessary.
  • Phosphorus supplementation of poultry feeds is routinely made by the addition of commercial dicalcium phosphate.
  • Commercial dicalcium phosphate is the most widely used phosphorus supplement in animal feeds all over the world. Considered to be a very safe phosphorus source, it is often utilized as a standard reference product in studies of phosphorus availability in different feed ingredients. The phosphorus in dicalcium phosphate is assumed by the nutritionist to be 100% available in commercial feed formulation.
  • Studies on phosphorus availability in feedstuffs are of utmost biological and economical importance, as they allow for greater precision in feed formulation aiming to minimize cost of animal production and to maximize animal performance and bone mineralization.
  • Live weight, weight gain, feed intake, and feed : gain ratio were improved by phosphorus supplementation.
  • Chicks fed added phosphorus diets have higher plasma calcium than low-phosphorus diets. This difference is probably due to a wider calcium : phosphorus ratio at the lowest phosphorus supplementation level.
  • Alkaline phosphatase activity is also decreased by dietary phosphorus supplementation.
  • Plasma calcium, phosphorus, and ALP values, as well as tibia ash percentage and tibia breaking strength were all improved by supplementing broiler feed diets with dicalcium phosphate.

Product Benefits

  • AMPHIDICAL-P is used as a high phosphorus source for broiler chicken to guard against skeletal and leg problems.
  • AMPHIDICAL-P may be used to guard against lameness of the bird and bone fractures.
  • AMPHIDICAL-P supplementation may be of value to improve live weight, weight gain, feed intake, and feed : gain ratio.
  • AMPHIDICAL-P may be used to increase plasma calcium.
